When things don’t follow plan A… or B… or C…

My first birth didn’t go to plan, in fact it was about as far off what I had wanted as you can get (planned home birth turned very unplanned pre-term cesarean birth). This isn’t a cautionary tale though, it’s a testament that good preparation can still help you to come out of your birth feeling empowered and in control even if things don’t go to plan A.
