How to work with me!

Hello hi hello!

I'm Frankie, I'm a Capricorn, and a doula and hypnobirthing teacher. I'm the HBIC at Devon Birth Co, a business and community I'm growing from the ground up to support women across Devon and Cornwall. I've had two absolute polar opposite births, and each of them set wheels in motion that helped me find my passion, supporting women with everything pregnancy, birth, and beyond!

Things I will do: be your biggest cheerleader, encourage you to find your voice, support you to advocate for yourself, bring evidence based information

Things I will not do: lie to you, set unrealistic expectations for birth, fear monger, talk over the top of you, give you medical advice

If you know what just you need, or you’re not sure where to start, reach out and let’s put our heads together. I only take on a micro case load of virtual clients, and prioritise one on one connection - basically, I’m here for you!

Most importantly, I'm a huge advocate for informed choice. At the end of the day, I'm not here to make the choice or speak for you. You have a voice, and I'm here to help you find the information and give you the tools you need to find and use that voice!

I can't wait to hear from you!

Birth planning

These birth planning one-on-ones (or two-on-ones if your partner is feeling brave) are designed for people who want in-depth, start to finish, comprehensive birth planning.

Whether you have an idea of how you want your birth to feel, or you’re completely lost and don’t know where to start, I got your back!

We’ll sit down together for a couple of hours virtually or over a cuppa face to face, and go over everything from your first surge through to your first feed and those precious golden hours post birth. We’ll go over your options, your choices, and the evidence, and come up with a birth plan that feels just right.

Say goodbye to tick box birth plans, and hello to an empowering birth tool!

Birth Tech Rehearsal

So what the heck is a tech? In the theatre, it’s a rehearsal where all the components of the show come together to understand how they’re going to run together in the space, props, lighting, music, the whole kit and caboodle.

What it means here is a chance for you and your birth partner to have one hour to run through birth scenarios (role play that isn’t lame) so you feel confident and ready for the big day.

Think along the lines of how you might use your birth tools and when, what positions you might want to try (and confidence for you and your partner to help you into them), what scenarios might pop up and how to navigate them (e.g. GIVE ME AN EPIDURAL!).

They say you don’t get a dress for birth, well, now you can!
